Book Title: The Dream Keeper

Book Author: Mikey Brooks

Book Genre: Fantasy

Number of Pages: this is an audiobook the length is 8 hours and 43 minutes

Fantasy fiction is usually not a genre that I enjoy. I usually enjoy books that are realistic fiction things that are not true but could actually happen in real life. That is the first reason why the Dream Keeper, surprised me. I could not stop listening to the story. Of it were not for my busy lifestyle as a student and a caretaker to the families new furbaby, I would have finished this story a lot sooner.

I find that this book had three main characters; Gladamyr. Parker and Kaelyn. I identified with Kaelyn more because her character developed throughout the story but she started out as a girl that was picked on in school and really had not found herself quite yet.

One thing that I absolutely love about this story is that is pulls you in right from the start. Gladamyr, the main character is already enveloped in the dream world. It gets your minf going with questions first thing, but then it answers them as you continue on. Parker has a strange encounter in his dream and he begins talking to Kaelyn is his dream and that is when they encounter the start of their adventure and when they realize that their dreams are just a world they travel to when they are asleep and they actually are participating in the race to save the two worlds from colliding their characters really develop.

One thing I did not like about listening to this book was that is had such a quick and open ended ending, I am thinking because it may be one of a series that is developing but I still believe that it ended to abruptly, you wait listening for more and then realize it is all over.

This book involved, action, adventure and required just a bit of imagination. It took you to another world, almost literally. I found myself thinking about that the characters were going to encounter next while I was working.

Overall, this book is an excellent listen for anyone that loves fantasy but also may catch in the interest of someone who is not so sure about The Genre. I have to say that the narrator really helped me get into the book, he brought the characters to life for me. I would highly recommend this book for listening by any one from ages 10 and up just because of the nightmare aspect of the story as well as some of the vocabulary used.
